Characteristics and nutritional targets

Active Radical is an organic bio-activator based on an organic blend of selected organic substances of which fluid hydrolysed animal epithelium, apple extract rich in organic acids, vitamins, fructose and haemoglobin (protein). They follow a stabilizing process that makes the final product soluble, stable and therefore ideal for fertigation systems.
Active Radical is essentially made up with amino acids and low molecular peptides which are more easily up-taken by plants if compared to those deriving from chemical hydrolysis and they allow energy saving of the general plant metabolism by carrying organic matter that the plant should synthesize itself: the haemoglobin directly inserts itself in the general plant metabolism (protein and vegetable enzyme synthesis). It also contains Iron which is integrated in the organic substances (haemoglobin).
Active Radical promotes cell division and distension, it guarantees an increase in the root network system with a better uptake capacity, a stronger vegetative structure, thus assuring larger sized fruits and higher qualitative characteristics (sugar content, colour, consistency, shelf life etc.) but at the same time it also has a lower environmental impact than other bio-activators containing synthetic growth promoters.
Active Radical by fertigation system reactivates the ground micro flora establishing nourishment and promoting a quick recovery of the plants weakened by environmental stress. The nutritional value of Active Radical is extremely high and a dosage of 100-150 kg/ha is sufficient to satisfy the nitrogen needs of a wide-range of crops with a significant saving on Iron based fertilisers (with exception to chlorosis soils) and chemical nitrogen fertilisers of which a high quantity usually ends up wasted in the underground water, polluting the surrounding environment.
Active Radical reduces soil salinity levels and carries and enhances the properties of the fertilisers it is associated with in fertigation system. It promotes the formation of consistent plant tissues, compact vegetation, plants with higher production capacity and more premature even in adverse environmental conditions (high temperature, excessive soil salinity, low temperatures and low light levels).

Methods of application and dosages

Active Radical is applied in fertigation systems by drip irrigation or with suitable irrigation bars. The given dosages are for one hectare and are intended for one application but the applications can also be divided. The product can totally or partially substitute nitrogen fertilisers, therefore this must be taken into consideration when creating the complete fertilisation programme.
Pear: applications to be made during bud swelling and fruit setting phases with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha; in post-harvest (in case of mass production) with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Apple: applications to be made at the end of blossoming with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha, in post-harvest (in case of mass production ) with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Peach, apricot, plum, cherry: applications to be made atpetal fallup to stone hardening with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha dividing the treatment into 2-3 applications. In post-harvest (in case of mass production) with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Kiwi: applications to be made at reawakening up to blossoming with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha, dividing the treatment in two applications, afterwards 2-3 applications during fruit growth using a total amount of 15-20 l/ha. In post-harvest (in case of mass production) with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Grape: applications to be made on young plants to help engraftment cuttings with a dosage of 10-15 l/ha several times during the season; on adult plants applications should be carried out frequently during the whole productive cycle with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Asparagus: applications to be carried out when the turions begin to sprout with a dosage of 20 l/ha.
Strawberry: applications after transplanting or after leaf thinning at reawakening with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha, at blossoming with a dosage of 20 l/ha and during fruit swelling with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Water Melon, Melon, Cucumber, Squash, Tomato, Pepper, Egg-plant: applications to be made during transplanting with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha, at blossoming with a dosage of 20 l/ha and during fruit growth phase with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Leaf vegetables : apply frequently during the whole cycle with a dosage of 10-15 l/ha.
Cereals: apply during growth or tilling with a dosage of 50-60 l/ha at the end of February by foliar application with 500 litres of water per ha. (substitute a nitrogen granular application)
Field crops (Tobacco, Sunflower, Sugar Beet, Corn): applications to be carried out with herbicide tanks in between the 5th and 7th leaf appearances with a dosage 50-60 l/ha.
Potato: applications to be made at sowing with a dosage of 40-50 l/ha.
Flower crops: apply frequently during the whole growing cycle with a dosage of 1-2 l/1,000 m2.
Citrus: applications to be made at reawakening up to blossoming with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha and during fruit growth with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.
Tropical fruit: (Mango, Papaya, Banana, Coffee): applications to be made during bud induction, during blossoming, at fruit setting and during fruit growth with a dosage of 15-20 l/ha.

The number of applications depends on the species of the crops to be treated, the phenological phase, the healthiness of the plants and the results that need to be achieved.

Compatibility

Active Radical can be mixed with the most commonly used fertiliser and pesticide formulates in fertigation system and by foliar application (fungicides, insecticides and herbicides mixed with organic nitrogen), avoid mixing with other formulates with strong acid reactions, in this case the product must be previously diluted in water in a ratio of 1:3.
When the product is applied with irrigation bars/sprays together with pesticides, avoid mixing with copper based products.
